The Numbers

If we can break out of 18975, we’re headed to the magnetic 19042, then testing 19097, and can go to 19148.75 or higher (19230, 19323.25?)

if we cannot hold this, first spot i’d look for is seeking the gap made at 18617.25, then that would open the door for 18542, 18462.5,18339.25, with a gap fill not until 18357 ish. Good luck bears even trying.

The Big Picture

Playing in the GTTB (“Great Time To Buy!”) balance still, and invalidating that “bear pennant” with vigor! We’re headed to the top of this balance, and given the size of that gap, ready to break out, although this morning she’s creeping. Can she drum up some more buying? was the bottom in earlier? We don’t know, but we’ll see how participants react today. Not sure how news of not firing someone they couldn’t really fire anyway was cause enough for this gap, but we take the market as it comes, and this looks l ike an aggressive attempt upwards.

I am looking for two things…there is quite a bit of resistance, aka bag holders above that may be willing to sell. so i’m looking for them to possibly:

• rip through levels once volume picks up

• face some strong rejection before or at a key level and dump (the PWVPOC is magnetic). But Anything Can Happen.

• (alternatively) something else…given they’ve been creeping

We’ll keep watch, and as I have time, take a look at the tape if there’s anything interesting to note. It’s a no news day, just a sharp gap up with the potential to go higher than she already is.
