I think that title should come with a little caveat. ;-)

We are certainly headed to all time highs. Whether or not we will get there in the new few days, weeks, or months, remains to be seen. Let’s talk about it.

Update: I wrote this headline and preamble yesterday afternoon. I didn’t finish it because I was busy feeding my spouse for Mother’s Day. I wake up this morning and it’s more true than ever.

The Big Picture

I started writing this yesterday, but going to update based on our overnight rally-o.

Friday, we were still creeping up, seemingly trying to work off what we lost in March. It’s was slow going, and an uncertain area.

We had also been within a balance. A double distribution of sorts, and Friday was at the top end of this balance.

Overnight, the fiends took the thing to the moon, squarely blowing past all prior levels I said they had to make it through to be serious about this. And now they’re serious. So i’ve put some more key levels that are on the table this week, if they can do it. we are knocking at the door of the all time highs. Meaning, specifically, we tapped the very edge of the All time high value area (99% 3rd std deviation) as of my typing, and have cracked it, and failing. This was just attempt one. We’re here now, and, barring we fall hard (a legitimate possibility), we’re going to try to push this thing.

So yes, currently they stand at a critical level with regards to reaching all time highs, i suspect no one wants to be at 958 at the open, unless they’re well above there by the bell…so we’ll at least get a cool off, and retest 20836 (2024 value area high), right? Anything can happen.
